Laurence G. Latimer has over 15 years’ experience launching, growing and running businesses in technology, media and telecommunications. Over his career, he has led growth initiatives and new market entry in the US, India, China, Brazil, Chile, Mexico and various countries in Sub Saharan Africa.
In Laurence’s current role at IEX Group, Inc., he sources, structures and manages new ventures and partnerships with other innovators committed to creating extraordinary value in financial services. Prior to IEX, Laurence built LGL Growth Consulting International to help clients identify, build and scale new business initiatives. His clients extend across multiple industries, stages of firms, and geographies including West Africa and North & South America. Laurence spent over 4 years at SunGard, one of the largest global privately held business services and technology firms, where he entered into several new markets including India and Chile, grew his Latin America business over 20% and launched businesses that generated over USD$10M in revenue within their first two years.
Before SunGard, Laurence served in senior product and business development roles at several startups. He also co-founded a media company that produced several short films including an award winning documentary on Hip Hop in Ghana and managed artists who won several independent music awards in the US and had the #1 independent album in Japan.
Laurence started his post-graduate career at McKinsey & Company, the world’s leading strategic management consulting firm. He served CEOs of fortune 1000 companies with a focus on telecommunications, media and finance.
