Please be as detailed as possible
If you choose to help us with conducting background research for our programs or propose new guest ideas, we would really like to know what some of the areas that you'd want to focus on. Is it finance, politics, technology policy...? If you want to help us with technical support instead of content production, maybe simply explain what some of the policy-related issues and fields you're interested in. The goal of this question is to help us get a sense of your expertise and passion.
This is probably one of the most important questions. Maybe you don't want to commit too much energy but just want to meet a lot of guests; maybe you actually wanna practice your research skills... all of these are totally acceptable. Again, honesty is appreciated. A lot of people have come to us proposing partnerships without actually having a clear vision or idea of what they want to do... That's way worse than just being straightforward and telling us that you're interested but unsure or have some other reasoning...
You really don't have to overstate the amount of time you'd like to spend with us. Everyone's busy, and it's totally understandable if you can only spend a hour or two doing work related to Policy Punchline every week. Honesty is much appreciated so we don't have confusion later.
Please upload your CV to Google Drive/Dropbox/a service you prefer that may allow us to view and download your resume. If you're uploading it to Google Drive, make sure it's set to "anyone with the link can view!"
We know how annoying it could be to complete an separate writing just for an application, so please just send us anything that you think reflects your research ability and writing level. That could be a politics paper, a philosophy response... It would be best if it's related to policy/economics/finance/international relations. Again, please upload the file to Google Drive/Dropbox/a service you prefer that may allow us to view and download.
